This Privacy Policy explains how Fondr.bio (“Fondr”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use fondr.bio and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

1. Information We Collect

a) Information you give us

  • Account information: email address, username, and password (stored securely/hashed) when you sign up.
  • Profile content: your bio text, display name, links, and any avatar or banner images you upload or select from our built-in presets.
  • Support requests: anything you send us at hello@fondr.bio (name, email, message content).

b) Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, actions taken on your dashboard, timestamps, browser type, and device/IP information, collected to keep the Service secure and to understand how it’s used.

c) Information from payments

  • When you purchase Premium, payment is handled entirely by Gumroad. We do not collect or store your card details.
  • Gumroad shares limited purchase information back with us via a webhook so we can activate your Premium plan — specifically: your email address, the plan you purchased (monthly/yearly), and payment status (e.g. completed, refunded). We do not receive your card number, CVC, or billing address.
  • Gumroad’s own handling of your payment data is governed by Gumroad’s Privacy Policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account and your public bio page;
  • Activate, manage, and verify Premium subscriptions;
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries;
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the Service (e.g. detecting abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access);
  • Improve and develop the Service;
  • Send you important account or service-related emails (e.g. confirmation of purchase, security notices). We do not send marketing emails unless you opt in.

3. What We Share Publicly

Your bio page (username, display name, bio text, links, avatar, and banner) is public by design — anyone with your page URL can view it. Do not include sensitive personal information on your public bio page that you do not want visible to the world.

Your account email, password, and private account settings are never shown publicly.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:

  • With service providers who help us run the Service (e.g. Gumroad for payments, our hosting provider, and any analytics or security tools we use);
  • If required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Fondr, our users, or the public;
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you if your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and profile information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable time, except where we are required to keep certain records (e.g. for tax, legal, or fraud-prevention purposes).

6. Your Choices and Rights

  • You can update or delete your profile content at any time from your dashboard.
  • You can request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account and associated data, by emailing hello@fondr.bio.
  • Depending on where you live (e.g. EU/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

7. Children’s Privacy

Fondr is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below this age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@fondr.bio and we will take appropriate action.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (such as password hashing and access controls) to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Users
